From the moment I heard this quote, I was touched! For those of you who know me, know that I am a total quote junkie, lol - I read them daily and find them to be so inspiring and enlightening. Especially quotes about the beauty, importance and love of family. With a wonderful husband and three amazing children, I find myself immersed in the daily reflection of how important these people truly are to me.
Now for those who know me, you also know that I am a total canvas junkie, lol! Shocker being a professional photog and all! Just ask my 3 teenagers and they will confirm that it is true! The walls of our home are covered with canvases. Now we are not talking canvases of fine art like Picasso or Monet...no....we're talking much better then that....we're talking canvases of my family! Now that's true art! In my opinion there is nothing in the world better to decorate my walls with, then that of the beautiful smiling faces of my children. Now, if you ask my 3 teenagers, they would tell you that they are sick and tired of turning every corner in the house to find another 40x60 canvas print of themselves, lol! My husband jokes that there is no wall space left to hang anymore canvases. I joke that it's time to expand.
In all seriousness though, I treasure these portraits. These frozen moments in time that serve as beautiful decor, gracing the halls of our home. I always tell my clients, you will never regret having your family or children's portrait taken. Time flies, children grow older. Taking the time to capture your family in the now, is something you will cherish for years to come.
My team and I had the pleasure of photographing 15 beautiful families this past weekend. We chose a local park location and welcomed clients to enjoy outdoor mini photo sessions throughout the day. With each photo shoot I couldn't help but wonder which photos they may chose to adorn their own walls at home! We all could use an update to the old family portrait! Am I right?
